Thank you so much for attending Cambridge’s first Instameet with Visit England, Visit Cambridge and Beyond and IgersCambridge. We hope you enjoyed the day and we have already seen so many amazing posts and Stories on Instagram. We have so many talented photographers in Cambridgeshire and it was great meeting you all.
Thank you VisitCambridge Team: Jessica, Marta, the guide Pamela, for making this event gorgeous and unforgettable.
We experienced VisitCambridge`s King’s and Queens’ Walking Tour, which shows two beautiful colleges, the iconic Mathematical Bridge and the stunning King’s College Chapel. Today you also tried the Bloomsbury Boozer cocktail and the Parker’s Tavern cream tea at the University Arms, Autograph Collections Hotel in Cambridge.
This week @VisitEngland (318k followers) will be running a post-meet story take-over of their favourite grams from the weekend. To have your chance to be featured your photos should be published on your Instagram by Tuesday 2 p.m. Please make sure and check and use #IgersCambridge @IgersCambridge_uk #MyMicrogap @visitengland #visitCambridge @VisitCambridgeofficial #igersuk @igersUK in your Instagram posts. About #MyMicrogap
The gap year is a rite of passage for those leaving higher education, as well as those in their 20s and 30s taking career breaks. But what if you could enjoy the richness of experiences and developmental opportunities offered on a traditional gap year – volunteering and making a difference, meeting new people and ticking experiences off your bucket list – without having to quit the day job, by ‘microgapping’ in the UK? Visit England’s latest campaign wants to show you how. visitbritain.com/gb/en/campaigns/mymicrogap
A ‘microgap’ offers all of the benefits of a gap year or career break, including:
- learning a new skill;
- embracing a challenge;
- supporting a good cause;
- ticking off bucket list experiences;
- indulging a passion;
- discovering local flavours;
- meeting new people;
- improving wellbeing;
- experiencing local culture.
About the Walking Tour
Visit Cambridge and Beyond deliver the official walking tours for the city and we are the only tour guides who are permitted inside the University of Cambridge colleges. VisitCambridge offers a variety of tours, including a Highlights tour, a Parker Library tour, Fitzwilliam Museum tour and, of course, Ghost Tours! visitcambridge.org/official-tours
About Parker’s Tavern
The recently refurbished restaurant in the University Arms hotel offers a world-class dining experience just moments from Parker’s Piece. Chef Director, Tristan Welch, brings a unique twist to traditional British dishes, perfect for the city of Cambridge. parkerstavern.com & universityarms.com
